As mentioned earlier,we went to Kausani via Binsar. Binsar wildlife sanctuary is a 2 kms trek which ultimately reaches you to the zero point from where the view of Himalayan ranges is spectacular. Some pictures form the zero point here…
We reached Kausani around 4 pm. It was very very cold. But the resort,Chevron Eco lodge, that we had booked is situated at such a location from where you can see the entire Himalayan range close to you. Like, the Himalaya is standing right in front of you ! Amazing !
Few pictures of the room and the resort. They have this very beautifully done garden which offers you tea tables. Outside the rooms you will have the recline chairs to sip your cuppa coffee and may be read a book or listen to the music or simply look at the snow capped mountains right in front of view.
The food is okay.I’ll not rate it the best. But it will do the needful and I assure that you will not starve. The staff is very much trained and friendly. Over all our stay was made perfectly comfortable.
There are some areas to visit in and around Kausani. Like Baijnath Temple which is thousand years old,Gandhi Ji’s Anasakti Ashram,Bageshwar-where rivers Sarayu and Gomti meet.
Kausani is famous for it’s sunset and sunrise. From our resort the sun rise was clearly visible and we tried to captured the sunrise in our camera. Here are the pictures..
The sun is about to rise
And here we see the Sun 🙂
Kausani is also termed as the Switzerland of India. It’s lovely weather and the views are breathtaking. One feels so much attached to the place in just about a day. It’s a perfect get-away for people who want to relax and chill in life for a while, away from the rush !
About Nainital in the next post, till then take care !
